This weekend, I stepped out of my comfort zone and into the sweltering heat of an Australian summer as Lily Malone and I set off on a road trip. Thanks to being hosted by three major Big W stores in Perth, we celebrated the joint release of Country Suspense and The Cafe by the Bridge. We had heaps of fun chatting to readers and signing books.
It was lovely to meet some of our readers from the Australian Rural Fiction Facebook group who braved the forty degree celsius heat to make the trip to their closest store. Management and staff at Big W went above and beyond to make us welcome, with each store having a uniquely different take on setting up the tables. The Belmont store even gave us pretty gold cushions on our chairs to make us comfortable.
