With her new boss threatening to cancel the program and danger striking close to home for the youths, will Scott Devin be a trusted ally or yet another enemy?
When Scott Devin buys a struggling car dealership in semi-rural Western Australia, he knows he’s buying a bucketload of trouble. He’s just not expecting the mess he walks in on, or the reason for it. Heading up the challenge is a woman who fights like a tigress protecting her cubs against the dark underworld of crime. Can he afford to get involved in the danger she brings to his door?

Book 3: Silenced
Even in innocence, silence can come at a deadly cost…
Overwhelmed in the aftermath of her husband’s death, Lily Bennetti navigates protecting her teenage son from his father’s criminal legacy and the dangers that continue to stalk them. The secrets she keeps come at a high cost. If the detective on the case figures out the truth about her connection to a cold case murder, she stands to lose everything she has left.
When Mark Johnson delves deeper into his ongoing investigation of the murder of Tiny Watts, the last person he expects to be interviewing for it is a crime boss’ widow. His gut tells him she knows more than she’s letting on. Her bruises tell a different story. The way she defends her son suggests that the threat runs even deeper than her scars. He’s determined to bring the notorious crime gang ruling the streets to justice, but at what cost?

Book 4: Shattered
She’s a stranger to the outside world. He’s seen far too much of its dark side...
Bridey McCaffrey’s life has never been perfect. All she’s ever known is control. But as tragedy strikes on the farm, a new nightmare unfolds for her and her three children. It will take all her remaining strength and courage to keep herself and her children safe.
Sergeant Cole Delaney is looking forward to some quiet, small-town policing, until he realises that secrets run deep in the town of Moonie River. And the family living out at Mindaleny Ridge appear to be a magnet for trouble. He’s no longer arresting goats for chewing up Mrs Lee’s petunias or breaking up fights over a poker game in the park. There is something far more sinister going on in his town. And his growing attraction to Bridey makes him even more determined to keep her and her young family safe.

“The book had all kinds of main and secondary characters not to mention loads of action, intrigue and emotion. I found myself thinking more than once that having your child kidnapped has to be one of the worst feelings of dread and the author so perfectly conveyed those feelings to me that I felt true sadness and despair.
The author has a unique style of writing, combining real life situations with a the perfect ending. I recommend this read for those seeking a action packed, dramatic, realistic, romantic and suspenseful read!”

“I have learned that a good action suspense read intertwined with romance needs to have enough action drama to get your attention to want to get to the bottom of the mystery but also enough heat between the two main characters to bring you that feeling of breathlessness and pure joy when it all comes together in the end.
In the new read from Juanita Kees I got all that and so much more. The story is about TJ she is a kick ass heroine that does not back down from what she wants and goes after anything and everything with her heart and soul. “

“Juanita Kees is one of the loveliest people you’ll meet. This is a problem. How could someone so nice make me believe in the underworld? By making it real. [The plot] has an intense, harsh conflict at its core. It’s about drugs and murder and recovering from long-term domestic abuse. The story doesn’t dwell on the darkness, but nor does it shirk it. The terrifying sense of powerlessness suffered by the heroine is well conveyed, along with her struggle to rebuild her life and save her son. The romantic thread running through the book helps to carry this thread of hope and to emphasise Lily’s courage.”

“Shattered is #4 in the Unfinished Business series by Aussie author Juanita Kees and it was outstanding.Fast paced, chilling, filled with tension and murder, it’s another well-written episode in the series, all of which I’ve read. Some great characters, namely Chewy the goat who loved eating petunias; Gus, a gentle giant who was an excellent chef and was loved by all, especially children. Mrs Lee – many memorable characters in a book I highly recommend.”

“WOW this is one fantastic story fast paced filled with action it is heart-breaking and heart-warming as we see Bridey grow in strength, I was cheering her on throughout this story she has been through so much, it is now time for her to discover who she is and find love and happiness and Cole is just the person to make that happen.
Ms Kees has taken on some issues that are very relevant in this day and age and done it with care and empathy, this story is so well written and one that I highly recommend, and I still have the first three books in this series to read, lucky me, it really is a fabulous story that any romantic suspense reader will love.
