Katherine Porter escapes her high-powered, stressful job as a copy editor for a leading Sydney magazine to find peace and quiet in Bindarra Creek. Left broke after the breakdown of her marriage, she’s hoping for a brand new start in the small town. City meets country as her very sexy neighbour, Marcus Brodie, seems determined to be her new best friend. But there’s more to Marcus than a country boy who wants to expand the local wildlife sanctuary, and Katherine soon finds her present colliding with her past. Stealing her Heart is a heartwarming story about trust, forgiveness, starting over and letting go of the past. Another lovely addition to the series.
Katherine Porter escapes to the country town of Bindarra Creek after her gambler husband left her broke and distrustful of all men, especially financiers.
Animal lover and financier Marcus Brodie returns to Bindarra Creek, keen to expand the current wildlife sanctuary, and set up a cat rescue home. When he meets his beautiful but bristly neighbour Katherine, he adds another mission – to put a smile on her face and light into her sad, troubled eyes.
But an unsettling truth plunges their budding relationship into the dark.
Can Katherine overcome her fears and let go of the shackles of the past? And if she can, will Marcus be convinced a future with her is possible?
Where do I start? I waited impatiently for the release of this book, mostly because I knew it would be a ripper read. Ms McKellar has a special way with words and, for me, this is her best book yet. Heart-wrenching emotion in a story weaved around two deeply injured lead characters, Amie and Jeremy find their way back to living and loving by teaching each other to breathe. Well-drawn characters, great dialogue and bittersweet romance make this a beautiful read. Through all the challenges that face them, they grow stronger together as they face their fears, and the past, head on. A wonderfully crafted romance that brought a tear to my eye and touched my heart.
With Every Breath (Book 5 Bindarra Creek – A Town Reborn)
Infantryman Jeremy Forster needs his final medical clearance to return to the frontline. But when he meets country girl Amie Stone he wants to fight not just for his country, but her heart as well.
Amie doesn’t need a knight in shining armour, but she can’t stay away from the man who helps her forget the darkness in her past. Perhaps she can be the one to help him heal—even if he doesn’t want to be saved.
Can they move on from their pasts and form a life together? Or will secrets and lies destroy their chance at forever?
