With Every Breath by Lauren K. McKellar
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Where do I start? I waited impatiently for the release of this book, mostly because I knew it would be a ripper read. Ms McKellar has a special way with words and, for me, this is her best book yet. Heart-wrenching emotion in a story weaved around two deeply injured lead characters, Amie and Jeremy find their way back to living and loving by teaching each other to breathe. Well-drawn characters, great dialogue and bittersweet romance make this a beautiful read. Through all the challenges that face them, they grow stronger together as they face their fears, and the past, head on. A wonderfully crafted romance that brought a tear to my eye and touched my heart.
With Every Breath (Book 5 Bindarra Creek – A Town Reborn)
Infantryman Jeremy Forster needs his final medical clearance to return to the frontline. But when he meets country girl Amie Stone he wants to fight not just for his country, but her heart as well.
Amie doesn’t need a knight in shining armour, but she can’t stay away from the man who helps her forget the darkness in her past. Perhaps she can be the one to help him heal—even if he doesn’t want to be saved.
Can they move on from their pasts and form a life together? Or will secrets and lies destroy their chance at forever?
